New instructions have been issued regarding the syllabus for the HSC and equivalent examinations of 2026. For irregular and improvement candidates, the 2026 examination will be conducted according to the rearranged syllabus of 2025. All education boards and relevant authorities have been asked to take necessary measures in this regard. This information was stated in a letter from the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB).
On Thursday (11 December), a letter from the Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education instructed the concerned authorities to take necessary action regarding this matter.
The letter stated that the HSC, equivalent, and Alim examinations of 2025 were held according to the rearranged syllabus prepared by NCTB. For the 2026 HSC, equivalent, and Alim examinations, candidates who will participate as irregular or improvement candidates will sit for their exams based on the rearranged syllabus previously sent by NCTB for the 2025 HSC, equivalent, and Alim examinations.

2. Syllabus Update

3. Full-Syllabus vs Rearranged Syllabus

4. Test/Selection Examinations
