Rural Electricity Recruitment 2026 Circular: 1,035 Positions Available.
The Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board has published a recruitment circular. This circular has been issued with the aim of recruiting 1,035 individuals for the position of ‘Apprentice Lineman’ within the Rural Electric Societies registered under the Electrification Board. Applications must be submitted in person by appearing directly at the designated center, accompanied by the necessary documents and the application form.

Educational Qualification: Must have passed the SSC or an equivalent examination from the Science stream with a minimum GPA of 3.00 out of 5.00.
**Physical Fitness Requirements**
Candidates must be in good health. They must possess the physical capability to perform strenuous labor, including the ability to climb up and down electrical poles and installations. Minimum physical height must be 5 feet 4 inches; minimum weight must be 110 pounds; and chest measurement must be a minimum of 30 inches in a normal state and 32 inches when expanded.
Candidates must be capable of completing a 1-mile mini-marathon run within 7 minutes and performing a minimum of 5 consecutive, uninterrupted chest-to-bar repetitions on parallel bars. Priority will be given to candidates who have demonstrated proficiency in physical education and sports activities during their schooling.
**Age Limit:** As of May 19, 2026, the candidate’s age must be between a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 21 years.
**Salary:** The fixed salary during the probationary period is BDT 15,500. Upon completion of the probationary period, the salary will be BDT 16,600.
**Application Fee:** BDT 200 (Payment must be made via Postal Order, Pay Order, or Bank Draft addressed to the Senior General Manager/General Manager of the respective *Palli Bidyut Samity* [Rural Electrification Board] of the candidate’s home district, as listed under Serial Number 13).
Application Procedure: Candidates must appear at the designated center for the physical examination, bringing along the necessary documents and the application form. The prescribed application form (Form-1) may be downloaded from the website of the Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board or from the website of the relevant Rural Electrification Society (the website address of the respective Society can be obtained directly from that Society).
